Fee, Payment & Refund Policy
This Fee, Payment & Refund Policy establishes the rules governing tuition payments, other institutional fees, refunds, visa-related refunds, withdrawals, non-refundable amounts, and related financial matters for students applying to and enrolling in the on-campus BBA and MBA programs of European International University (EIU-Paris).
The policy is intended to ensure that applicants, students, parents, recruitment partners, and other stakeholders receive clear and transparent information regarding their financial obligations before payment and enrollment.
This policy forms part of the applicable enrollment terms and should be read before any payment is made.
The following fee structure applies to the on-campus programs:
| Fee Component | Amount | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| Annual Tuition Fee | €10,500 | Every academic year |
| Other Fees | €5,000 | Every academic year |
| IKON SKILLS™ Micro-Credentials | €300 | One time only during the entire program |
| Total Annual Fees Paid to EIU-Paris | €15,500 | Every academic year |
| Total First-Year Cost Including IKON SKILLS™ | €15,800 | €300 paid separately to IKON SKILLS™ |
The €5,000 annual Other Fees include applicable student and learning support services such as insurance-related support, student ID, learning resources, LMS access, and other applicable student services.
Any applicable online payment processing charge is additional to the fees stated above.
For applicants requiring a French student visa, the first-year payment process is divided into stages.
Stage 1 – Application and Tuition Payment
Upon submission and acceptance of the student's application in accordance with the applicable admissions process, the student is required to pay the full annual tuition fee of:
€10,500
The required admission/enrollment documentation is subsequently issued for the applicable student and visa process.
Stage 2 – Visa Decision
The student proceeds with the applicable French student visa process.
If the visa is refused, the refund provisions in Section 6 apply.
If the visa is approved, the student proceeds to Stage 3.
Stage 3 – Other Fees
Following successful visa approval and before arriving on campus, the student must pay the annual:
Other Fees: €5,000
Stage 4 – IKON SKILLS™ Micro-Credentials
The student pays the applicable:
€300 one-time Micro-Credential fee directly to IKON SKILLS™.
This fee is payable only once during the entire program and is subject to the applicable terms of IKON SKILLS™.
The annual tuition fee of €10,500 and annual Other Fees of €5,000 apply to each academic year of the student's standard program duration.
The €300 IKON SKILLS™ Micro-Credential fee is not repeated annually.
Students must meet the applicable financial obligations for each subsequent academic year in accordance with the payment deadlines communicated by EIU-Paris.
EIU-Paris may withhold re-enrollment, enrollment certification, academic progression, or other applicable administrative documentation where required annual fees remain outstanding, subject to applicable law and institutional regulations.
Applicable payments to EIU-Paris are made through the University's designated online payment system.
The 8% online payment processing charge applies to both the €10,500 annual tuition payment made in Stage 1 and the €5,000 Other Fees payment made in Stage 3. It does not apply to the €300 IKON SKILLS™ Micro-Credential fee, as this payment is made directly to IKON SKILLS™ and is not processed through the EIU-Paris payment system.
The processing charge is additional to the published institutional fees and will be communicated to the student before payment.
Where a refund is approved, payment processing charges already incurred are normally non-refundable, except where the relevant payment provider returns the charge or where otherwise required by applicable law.
Where a student's French student visa application is genuinely refused by the competent French authorities, the following refund arrangement applies to the €10,500 annual tuition payment:
To qualify for a visa-refusal refund, the student must submit:
- a formal written refund request submitted to campus@eiu.ac;
- the official visa refusal notification issued by the competent French authority;
- proof of payment of the €10,500 tuition fee;
- the applicant's identification and application details; and
- any additional documentation reasonably required by EIU-Paris to verify the visa application and refusal.
Approved refunds will normally be processed through the original payment method within 30 to 45 days after EIU-Paris has received and verified all required documentation.
No visa-related refund will be issued where the visa refusal or failure of the visa process results from fraud, misrepresentation, applicant misconduct, or a failure by the applicant or their representative to properly complete the required process.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- submission of forged, falsified, altered, or fraudulent documents;
- submission of false or misleading financial documents;
- submission of false academic qualifications, transcripts, certificates, employment records, identity documents, or supporting evidence;
- false or misleading information provided in the EIU-Paris application;
- false or misleading information provided to ESTIAM, Campus France, a French Embassy or Consulate, or another competent authority;
- material information deliberately withheld by the applicant;
- fraudulent documents or information submitted by a recruitment agent or other representative acting on behalf of the applicant;
- failure to submit required visa documents within the prescribed deadlines;
- failure to attend a required Campus France, Embassy, Consulate, or other immigration appointment or interview;
- failure to cooperate with requests for additional documentation;
- withdrawal, abandonment, or cancellation of the visa application by the student;
- applying for an incorrect visa category despite having been provided with the appropriate information;
- failure to follow applicable immigration procedures within the required timeframe; or
- other circumstances where the visa application was not genuinely and properly pursued by the applicant.
EIU-Paris maintains a zero-tolerance approach to fraudulent documentation.
Where EIU-Paris determines that an applicant, student, recruitment agent, representative, or other person acting on the applicant's behalf has knowingly submitted forged, falsified, altered, fraudulent, or materially misleading documents:
- no refund will be issued;
- the applicant's admission or enrollment may be immediately withdrawn or cancelled;
- no recruitment commission will be payable in relation to that student; and
- EIU-Paris reserves the right to take any further action reasonably necessary to protect the University, its partners, and the integrity of its admissions processes.
This provision applies whether the fraudulent documentation is discovered by EIU-Paris, ESTIAM, Campus France, French immigration authorities, an Embassy or Consulate, or another competent body.
Once the student's French student visa has been granted, fees already paid are non-refundable if the student subsequently decides not to enroll or travel to France for personal reasons.
Examples may include a change of mind, choosing another institution, personal preference, change of career plans, or a voluntary decision not to travel after the visa has been granted.
Where a student voluntarily withdraws after enrollment or after commencement of the academic year, fees paid for that academic year are normally non-refundable.
This includes withdrawal because of:
- change of mind;
- transfer to another institution;
- employment or professional commitments;
- personal relocation;
- failure or unwillingness to attend classes;
- dissatisfaction unrelated to EIU-Paris failing to deliver the enrolled program; or
- other voluntary personal decisions.
Exceptional documented circumstances may be considered individually by EIU-Paris where appropriate and subject to applicable law.
Failure to attend classes does not constitute withdrawal and does not create an entitlement to a refund.
Students remain responsible for formally notifying EIU-Paris of withdrawal and for meeting applicable financial obligations.
Absence, non-attendance, academic disengagement, or failure to access the LMS does not automatically cancel enrollment or generate a refund.
Fees are not refundable solely because a student:
- fails a module or assessment;
- is required to repeat academic work;
- does not satisfy progression requirements;
- fails to meet attendance requirements;
- commits academic misconduct;
- is suspended or dismissed in accordance with applicable institutional regulations; or
- fails to complete the program within the expected timeframe.
Payment of tuition does not guarantee academic progression, successful completion, or the award of a qualification.
The €5,000 Other Fees are payable annually following successful first-year visa approval and according to the applicable payment schedule in subsequent academic years.
Once the student's visa has been approved and the Other Fees have been paid, these fees are normally non-refundable once the associated services, registrations, access, resources, insurance arrangements, student identification, or other benefits have been activated or made available.
Any exceptional refund consideration will depend upon the circumstances, services already provided, and applicable legal requirements.
The €300 Micro-Credential fee is paid directly by the student to IKON SKILLS™.
EIU-Paris therefore does not process refunds for payments made directly to IKON SKILLS™.
Any refund or cancellation relating to such payment is subject to the applicable IKON SKILLS™ terms and conditions.
Recruitment-agent commission is calculated only on the €10,500 annual tuition fee and is payable according to the applicable EIU-Paris recruitment agreement.
For first-year international students requiring a visa, agent commission becomes payable only where the student's visa is successful.
Where a student's visa is refused, no agent commission is payable.
Where visa refusal involves fraudulent or forged documents submitted by the student or recruitment agent, no refund is issued to the student and no commission is payable to the recruiter.
If EIU-Paris cancels an intake or program before commencement and cannot provide the student with an appropriate alternative arrangement, fees paid directly to EIU-Paris for the affected study period will be refunded in accordance with applicable law.
This does not apply to reasonable changes to timetables, faculty assignments, classroom allocation, teaching schedules, academic calendars, or other operational arrangements that do not prevent delivery of the enrolled program.
A student may request a deferral to a subsequent intake.
Deferral is subject to approval by EIU-Paris and, where applicable to the dual-qualification pathway, ESTIAM.
Where a deferral is approved, EIU-Paris may transfer eligible fees already paid to the approved future intake rather than issue a refund.
Any deferral must be confirmed formally in writing.
A student may request only one deferral per academic year. The deferral request must normally be submitted at least 30 calendar days before the applicable intake start date, unless EIU-Paris agrees to a shorter notice period in writing.
Fees eligible for transfer to an approved future intake are limited to tuition and Other Fees already paid to EIU-Paris. The IKON SKILLS™ Micro-Credential fee is handled separately and remains subject to the applicable terms and conditions of IKON SKILLS™.
All refund requests must be submitted formally in writing to EIU-Paris at campus@eiu.ac and must include:
- student's full legal name;
- application number and/or EIU student ID;
- program and intake;
- reason for the refund request;
- proof of payment;
- supporting documentation; and
- official visa refusal documentation where applicable.
EIU-Paris may request additional documentation where necessary to determine eligibility.
Incomplete refund applications may not be processed until the required documentation has been received.
Approved refunds will normally be made using the original payment method.
Eligible visa-refusal refunds will normally be processed within 30 to 45 days following receipt and verification of the complete refund request and supporting documentation.
The time required for funds to appear in the recipient's account after processing may depend on banks, card issuers, payment processors, and international payment systems.
Where a student owes other amounts lawfully due to EIU-Paris, the University may, where legally permissible, deduct those amounts from an approved refund before releasing the remaining balance.
EIU-Paris may consider documented exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
Any exceptional refund or financial arrangement is discretionary unless otherwise required by applicable law and does not create a precedent or entitlement for other students.
Nothing in this policy is intended to remove, limit, or override any statutory rights available to applicants or students under applicable French or European law.
Where a mandatory legal provision conflicts with this policy, the applicable legal requirement will prevail.
Where an enrollment agreement is concluded at a distance, including through online forms, email, telephone, or other remote means, the student may have a statutory right of withdrawal in accordance with applicable French and European consumer law.
Where the statutory 14-day withdrawal period applies, the student may exercise this right within 14 calendar days from the conclusion of the applicable contract, in accordance with applicable law.
Where the student expressly requests that EIU-Paris begin providing services during the statutory withdrawal period, the consequences of such a request, including any amount that may become payable for services already provided and any circumstances in which the right of withdrawal may cease, will be determined in accordance with applicable French law.
A student wishing to exercise an applicable statutory right of withdrawal must notify EIU-Paris through a clear written statement sent to campus@eiu.ac.
Where a statutory withdrawal is validly exercised, any refund due will be processed within the period required by applicable law and, where legally and technically possible, using the original payment method.
This policy and the applicable enrollment arrangements are governed by the laws of France.
Any dispute that cannot be resolved directly between the student and EIU-Paris will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent French courts, except where applicable law provides the student with the right to bring proceedings before another competent court or jurisdiction.
EIU-Paris reserves the right to amend this policy where necessary.
Any material changes will be communicated appropriately and will not be applied retroactively where doing so would conflict with contractual commitments or applicable law.
Applicants must be provided access to the applicable fee, payment, and refund terms before completing payment.
This policy forms part of the applicable enrollment arrangements and should be referenced in the student's offer and/or enrollment documentation.
To administer applications, payments, refunds, enrollment, and related processes, EIU-Paris may collect and process personal data, including identification documents, contact information, proof of payment, financial information, visa-related documentation, and other information necessary for the applicable administrative process.
Personal data is processed and protected in accordance with the applicable General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements and other applicable data protection laws.
Students may exercise their applicable data protection rights, including requesting access to personal data held about them and requesting correction of inaccurate personal data, subject to applicable law.
Questions or requests relating to personal data associated with the on-campus programs may be submitted to campus@eiu.ac.
